Weaving and other fiber-based fun for 45 years and counting

Read a Rope at the Lee Road library

October 9, 2014 By Darcy Leave a Comment

On Thursday, October 23rd, from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm, the Lee Road branch of the CH-UH library presents Read a Rope: Quipos, the Ancient Incan Books. One of the earliest record-keeping tools, quipos use knotted rope instead of written numbers and letters. Robin Pease will introduce these little-known implements and teach participants how to read them (and, if time permits, create their own). Registration is required and opens Oct 9th. Part of both the On the Same Page and Octavofest programs.
