I thought that this might be of interest to the guild. There is a wonderful small show at Heights Arts (on Lee Rd next to the Cedar Lee theater.
It’s called Point-Line-Pattern-Plane.
The show runs 1/17-3/1.
The curator is Janice Lessman-Moss
Contributors are: Lauire Addis, Lena Brebenel, Si-Yun Chang, Rebecca Cross, Hildur Asgeirsdottir Jonsson, Andrea Myers, Jessica Pinsky, and Katlin Shae.
Ekphrastacy: Artists Talk + Poets Respond will be Thursday, 2/13 at 7 pm at the gallery
The write-up explains this a “an opportunity for visual artists, poets and the community to connect in discussion over the evening’s array of artworks. Hear the artists speak personally about their process and thoughts behind their work.”
Both the exhibit and 2/13 program are free
She says, “the exhibit is small, but terrific. Hope you are able to go see it.”

Yer Granny’s Overshot – with Janet Dawson – March 28 & 29, 2020
This round robin workshop will cover overshot basics like identifying blocks, tromp-as-writ, star vs. rose fashion, and opposites. With that foundation, we’ll move beyond traditional patterns and treadling to variations like Italian, flamepoint, swivel, petit point, shadow, treadled as lace, and more. If time allows, we’ll also look at name drafting and other methods of designing original overshot patterns for four shafts.
The cost of our comprehensive overshot workshop includes pre-wound warps and weft, as well as substantial handouts.
We meet at 10:00 am
Home of Joan Horwich

Show and Tell will be most welcome.
Looking forward to our November gathering.
