Beachwood Library Show Takedown

The Beachwood Library has us scheduled to take down the show on Wednesday, June 28th, from 5:30-9:00 pm. This is two days earlier than we had on our schedule. So everyone needs to come to the library at those hours on Wednesday to gather their items for the end of the show.

Hear Ye, Hear ye. The Cuyahoga Weavers Guild sale is Saturday, June 11th
from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The sale includes the following:
Looms, floor and table and weaving equipment such as warping board, warping mill etc., spinning wheels, drum carder and hand cards, fleece, yarn, fabric, thread, buttons and notions, weaving spinning, knitting and craft books and magazines (huge amount).
All is priced to sell. Taking cash or good check.
March meeting is Saturday, March 19…..a change in usual day.
Join us on Saturday, March 19 for the March meeting. Brown bag lunch and social time at 11:30. Meeting is at 12:30. Participants of Deb Silver’s workshop will be happy to show their efforts. Deb will share a presentation about her Split-shed Beiderwand tapestry technique.

American Tapestry Alliance exhibit in Troy, OH, opens September 27th
The American Tapestry Alliance opens its exhibit, Small Tapestry International 3: Outside the Line, an international exhibition juried by Hesse McGraw on September 27th at the Troy-Hayner Cultural Arts Center, 301 West Main Street Troy, Ohio 45373, (937) 339-0457.
The opening reception is from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm, and the show is open until December 1st.
The show features contemporary tapestries designed and woven by 38 artists from around the world.

Reminder: Sale this Saturday
Don’t forget the yarn sale happening this Saturday, June 1st, 9:00 am at Jean’s house: 2980 Washington Blvd., Cleveland Heights, OH.
Two looms– a 4-harness table loom suitable for workshops and an 8-harness Macomber add-a-harness floor loom– will be for sale, along with the usual array of books and magazines, yarn (of course), and who knows what other goodies (well, Jean knows, but we find out Saturday).
A portion of the proceeds benefits the Guild, so please tell your friends and come early to shop.

The Cuyahoga Weavers Guild is having one of its incredible yarn and fiber equipment sales– an event that comes along only once every few years. You will not find better deals at a local sale.

Books and magazines, looms (a 4-harness table loom suitable for workshops and an 8-harness Macomber add-a-harness floor loom), yarn (of course), and if we’re lucky, maybe a few swifts and ball winders will turn up.

Donations of unwanted yarn to sell for the Guild will be accepted until Wednesday, May 29th. Contact Jean to arrange drop off of yarn donations.
Ply-splitting workshop and business meeting, May 16th
A reminder for the business meeting on Thursday, May 16 at 12:30 pm. Bring a brown bag lunch at 11:30 am to visit and see how the ply-splitting workshop with Debbie Swan is faring.
For participants, this workshop is Thursday, May 16th, starting at 9:00 am promptly and ends at 5:00 pm in our usual basement meeting space at the Church of the Savior, 2537 Lee Road, Cleveland Heights, OH.
