The program is:
Dorset Buttons with Tracy Jackson
We will surround ourselves with our work on display as we have our meeting at Judson Park! Tracy Jackson will be in to teach us with a 2 hour class on Dorset buttons.
Come and join in the fun. The Judson Park show opens on Friday, October 28 at 4:30 to 6:00 pm.
Music by Don Disantis and refreshments accompany the show in The Howson Gallery there.

“Show and tell and price to sell.”
Members of the show committee will be in charge of the day. Bring in your finished pieces for the Judson show. The committee will be there to check in your submission and help with anyone who wants help pricing and naming your work. We also plan to replay the Laura Frey video for those who weren’t efficient enough to see it the first time, or loved it enough to want to see it again.

Let’s start the year off right and learn from Laura. As a production weaver, she has learned that efficiency saves time and lessens body abuse.
This 90 minute video is packed with helpful information that can help you weave happier, longer.

Our Thursday, May 19th meeting will be Carol James’ lecture program about sprang. Her workshop on finger weaving is Friday, May 20.
Join us on Thursday April 21 for the April meeting. Brown bag lunch and social time starts at 11:30. The meeting is at 12:30. Our program is a trip to the nearby CWG library annex. Duplicate materials will be available.

Finger Weaving Workshop with Carol James

This one-day weaving class introduces you to the basic method. Focus is on the finger movements that create the braid, what the top ten mistakes look like, how to fix them, and how to avoid them in the first place. You begin with an already prepared warp. Once you worked it into a strap, Carol will show you how to finish and how to begin again. Prospective participants are invited to look for her YouTube videos on the subject.

Carol will bring all materials. A little bit of yarn goes a long way in this. If you want you can bring some sock yarn, and she will help you to set up a neck scarf.
